Claudja Barry is one artist that continues to shine. Her first 12" single was "Sweet Dynamite" (Salsoul). Her most recent release "I Will Stand" (DonnaJean) topped the charts once again. In between these two it's been hits like the multimillion selling Platinum disco anthem "Boogie Woogie Dancin' Shoes" (Chrysalis), "Trippin' On the Moon" (Personal), "Work Me Over / I Will Follow" (TRS), "Down & Counting" (Epic), and "Good Time" (Radikal) that have maintained Claudja's presence on the international music scene. Her success has not been lost on the world of pop music: In Canada alone she's been nominated for nine Juno Awards (the Canadian Grammy) and was awarded the Juno for Best Female Artist.
Glamorous, multilingual and highly traveled Claudja has sung in some the world's best venues - among them Studio 54, The Saint, (NYC), The Palace (Paris), Budokan Hall (where she won the Silver Prize at the Tokyo Music Festival), and The Verona Arena (Italy). She is an artist whose stage presence, longevity, and performances have been noted and appreciated not only in the arena of pop/dance music, but also in film, theatre and television as an accomplished actress.
The demands of her millions of fans across the world have been answered with the chart-topping hit, "I Will Stand", and her return to the stage and screen. It is clear that Claudja has enjoyed longevity in the entertainment business, but she believes that even after all her success, the best is yet to come.

The Jones Girls consisted of sisters Brenda, Valorie and Shirley Jones. They served as backup singers for Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin, and Le Pamplemousse (AVI Records). They worked with Diana Ross from 1975-78 and were the backup singers on Linda Clifford's 1978 album If My Friends Could See Me Now.
Their biggest hit was "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else". The song broke the Billboard Magazine Top 40 at #38 in May 1979. The song was also a Top 5 R&B hit.
An additional hit followed in 1980, with the single "I Just Love The Man", charting at #9 in January 1981. The less successful, "Nights Over Egypt", (released in 1981, charting at R&B #23 in 1982) is currently a cult classic that receives more airplay on urban radio stations than their previous bigger hits.
Valorie Jones died on December 2, 2001 in Detroit at the age of 45.
God bless you Valorie.

Originally released in 1978 as a soundtrack to an italian TV-show, this legendary and super-rare Italo disco album features members of cult 70's electronic prog rock / horror soundtrack composers Goblin, with 3 long tracks, of strung out druggy dancefloor excess, arpeggios, animal noises, tribalpercussion, and eerie female vocals that give it a horror movie feel at times.

"He came to protect you.
He's growing every day.
He's made out of mud and letters.
He uses scissors to edit obscure tracks.
No one, except his master, could destroy him...
The time has come for the world to experience the power of the Golem.
Each release will be around a specific theme."
For the first one, the Golem dig 3 gems from overseas...
Sumak is an epic space-funk track from the middle east recorded in the 70's ! And never pressed on a 12" !!!
Klout is an edit of a reggae tune from the other side of the world...High infectious groove !
And Pyramide is a Disco/Balearic arabian song from late 70's...
These 3 tracks were never repressed and they are entirely re-mastered for maximum power !
